Learning To Ride, Hunt and Show - Vintage Book

$55

Published in 1950 by Secor Farms Riding Club in White Plains, NY, "Learning to ride, Hunt and Show" by Gordon Wright covers the fundamentals of riding on the flat and over fences, both at home and in competition. Wright is considered the "founding father" of hunter-seat horsemanship and revered by generations of riders at all levels. There are also chapters on horse anatomy, stable management, and tack and other equipment, as well as insights foxhunting and polo (in which the well-round horseman/woman of the time took part).

This vintage hardcover book is lacking a dust jacket and shows some light wear on the cover, but otherwise is a very good, clean copy of a classic reference book for riders. Black-and-white drawn illustrations throughout.

Please note all vintage books are Final Sale. There are multiple copies of this title so please note there may be slight variations to book shown. Please email CustomerCare@KAVAL.com with any questions.
